The Apple Love Story

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

Not only am I in love with the looks of the Apple MacBook Pro and the Apple iPhone, I've now fallen in love with the Apple Store! The one in 5th Avenue! OMG! It's a Property Consultant's (not to mention architects and interior designers) dream to be a part of something this grand, this monumental.

It's the 21st century architecture at its finest.

The Apple Cube

All I can say is... Wow.

=================

On a side note, my friend Richard gave his review on the iPhone that I've been salivating over. With his and Maeyo's comments, I must agree that this phone is not for me.

But I still can't help go ga-ga over such beautiful things. Wonder how many more asses I need to kiss to make a sale before I can get myself a MacBook Pro.

***want, want, want***

Who now will feed my addiction? :( Does that mean I'd need to go back to the real world and stop fantasizing about McDoctors and Superheroes? What happens to us entertainment consumers out there?

Missing Grey's

Grabbed from Chie's blog. I'm so missing Grey's as I haven't had any updates since Ep. 4, unlike Heroes addiction (thanks to Mark and his server :P). Whatever happened to my favorite doctors? I need updates...

These past few months, there's been a baby boom. Let me count em down:
  • Siyempre the recent binyag of Tina & Joseph's baby JC
  • Also David, my friend's newest bundle of joy, I haven't met yet (sheesh, that reminds me that I should soon!)
  • Tinay's second panganay last August (I haven't met him either)
  • Two of my friends, Danna & Jing have new pamangkins as well, both delivered at the same week of August
  • My cousin Jessa's baby this Jan
  • The twins my boss is expecting by Feb
  • Kuya & Ate-in-law's Baby Nooner due by April Fools
  • Tita K & Don's upcoming Baby Haku by June *** updated. :) Thanks Tita K.
  • Just recently confirmed hearing about Geni & Dhon's baby probably by July.
It's not a surprise as there was a *wedding* boom as well, and most were married within the last 2 years, if not soon. And most will be first time parents.

***Warning to mothers: Super Ninang's not so super with too many potential inaanaks. Hehehe***

Just finished reading, and I totally recommend Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic & Baby most especially for the new mommies out there. *Ate* requested for it last September, but I wasn't able to get it for her since it's been out of the stock. (Sorry Ate. I have it now though! Let me know if you haven't gotten it yet. And if you know anyone going there.)

That basically sums up my Sunday activity! Hahaha! A whole day of Shopaholic.

Glued to my seat

Wednesday, November 7, 2007

That was a solid 90 mins. Watched Ep. 6 and 7 of Heroes last night after simultaneously downloading from new found best friend's server (I'm such a suck-up user, hahaha. Peace Mark!).

Favorite scene: "First you show me that I can be harmed by no weapon, and then you cut me deeper than any blade possibly could."
- Heroes, Season 2, Episode 6

As the plot thickens, I'm excited to watch what happens next to Adam, who seems to be the new *baddie*. Will he bring Peter to the dark side, I wonder?

body hurts

Monday, November 5, 2007

I didn't understand what all the fuss was about for Nintendo Wii, and actually thought there was a bit of exaggeration with Perrine playing. Especially after hearing from my dad that the nephews played it as well. (Child's play!)

Until yesterday.

We played and because it was just the Calims and I, wala nang hiya hiya. We played golf, bowling, tennis, baseball and boxing. And as much as I'd hate to admit it, I was as noisy as Perrine. :P I was as "into it" as she was. And my body feels it today.

Oh well, that's workout for you...

*Ouch*

==========

Try it out. Definitely not just child's play. Another thing to be addicted to, I wonder....

Indulge me

Saturday, October 20, 2007

We've just had lunch in Gerry's grill in Promenade in Greenhills. We weren't happy with the service we got (the waitress was chewing gum while assisting us to our seat, the table next to us were a group of teenagers who were too noisy - and ended up not eating anything - and we got irritated, another waiter came to take our order, the food took time to be served so we asked for the drinks first, after which the gum-chewer asked for our orders again because they misplaced our order - oh and she blamed the first order taker saying he was a newbie, and the leche flan we ordered didn't arrive!) This was past 2 already, and there was not much customers. So obviously disappointed we went to have our desert elsewhere.

Our disappointment ended the moment we entered Bizu. The shop was light and airy. The attendant knew her stuff, and the cakes... ooh the cakes were a sight! My mouth was watering the moment I saw them!

I tried the Macarons de Paris sample and simply swooned. I mean if the macarons tasted like this, what more the cakes!

We ordered the "Samba" (choco cake) and "Mango Chiboust" (mango cheesecake) along with coffee and hot choco.

The moment I tasted the Samba, it was as if I died and went to heaven. It was *that* good! The chocolate was perfect! The serving size just right. Aack. My mouth is watering just remembering their cakes.

When I tasted the Mango cheesecake, I just blurted out that I wanted to cry! Haha! Kris and Harv laughed like there was no tomorrow. Gosh, sugar makes me so corny. And mababaw!

I wait for the day when I get to order myself a whole cake. Hmmm.. any celebrations out there I wonder?

When do I see you again, oh Bizu? I'm so drugged.

Kindred - my favorite scene

Saturday, October 13, 2007

It took me 4 days to download this episode. When I came back from my Eid trip earlier (more on this later), it was such a happy surprise to find out that my internet's not as bad as before (at least now, nakakapag download na ako ng episodes, hehehe!) Patience is such a virtue.

Anyway, the episode was "okay lang". It got a little mushy with Claire, Peter and Hiro having a love team. But Super-West is so-ooo cute. Didn't he resemble Smallville's superman in this scene?

I'm wondering what happens to Sylar next.. hmmm.

addiction, addiction

Thursday, October 4, 2007

I just finished watching Season 4 Episode 1 of Grey's. Huli na ako sa balita, I know. Hard to get my hands on the show. And my goodness, buffering takes forever. Doesn't help that work has been hectic.

I actually started watching after office last Monday. But I couldn't wait for it to end, so now I had to do w/ the buffering all over again! Gosh that took forever!

But, oh my goodness... now that I'm done, I loved it! I loved the show. Drama, drama, too much drama. But I absolutely loved it. :)

Here are my fave parts:

The Mark-Derek scene rocked!

The break up scene of Meredith (I think she's really spoiled though) and Derek. Oh and now I can't wait for Ep. 2.

Oh and I got to watch the first 5 minutes of Heroes Season 2 Episode 2. Poor Peter... :( I'm looking forward to watch that as well.

I've also resolved to stop looking at spoilers. I will be patient and stop watching previews. I realized that last week, but I still did it today. (Damn it). Now I'm so bitin with both shows! So well, this is a spoiler. Don't be tempted if you don't want any spoilers.

Let's be addicted together!
